A Little About Me

Once Upon A Time

A graduate of St. Clair College’s Musical Theatre Performance Program, Miranda Reynolds is one of the most versatile, unique, and multi-talented performers in Canada. Miranda has extensive performance experiences, including acting, singing, dancing, musicals, television, film, stage productions, and opera. A classically trained singer under the direction of Irene Illic, Miranda’s voice has been heard across Canada, including stage performances in Toronto and Vancouver Island. Her determination and passion exude such confidence and skill that one of the most preeminent schools in the country, St. Andrew’s College, has hired Miranda as a director/performer/dance captain were she works alongside world famous Director William Scoular.

From a young age family, friends, and loved ones could see Miranda was destined for a life on the stage. At every gathering they could count on her to perform impressions of some of their favourite characters, most notably Mr. Bean and Fat Bastard. This, in turn, spawned a desire and commitment to act in live performances. Since then, everywhere she went she could be counted on to entertain with signing and tap dancing. Her obsession with tap, which began before she even took a class, led to feature performances in the grocery store aisle, during lunch and recess, and even on second base during a Little League Baseball game!

It may seem as if she was an extremely confident and out-going person. However, the truth is that Miranda was bullied ruthlessly as a child, and as a result, had little self-confidence. Despite her love for performing, she was always terrified in front of a crowd. That all changed, for good, at the age of 15 when she saw the musical Wicked for the very first time. From the moment Glinda floated in on that bubble, she knew that was what she was destined to do. From this point on, Miranda channeled the out-going, bubbly blonde persona as if she was back in front of family and friends doing “famous” impressions.

Other notable credits include joining the cast of Legally Blonde at the Lower Ossington Theatre, performing in Opera Luminata across Southern Ontario, filming episodes of Motives and Murders, Murder U acting in the feature films Few and Far Between, and Nothing Lasts Forever, as well as acting, directing, and managing stage productions at St. Andrew’s College.

Not only does Miranda have experience in front of an audience and the camera, she also has earned the opportunity to work on various projects in the recording studio. Most notably she was the voice of Spiral: The Musical singing “The Greater Part of Me”. You can also hear Miranda singing the background vocals for the well known Ska band Dope Soda.

Her passion, dedication and raw talent exude in every production she is in. A true full package including acting, dancing, singing, and directing; Miranda truly does it all!
